Technical information Version 0.1 This interactive course makes use of three technologies, JavaScript, JavaSketchPad and LiveMath. LiveMath is used in all ten sections of the course so it is essential that you download and install the free plug-in so that your browser to work with it. Otherwise, as long as you are using an up to date browser (Version 4 or later) you should be able to view and interact with every page. LiveMath plug-in enables you to do algebraic and graphical mathematics in your browser. Download this free plug-in from the LiveMath site and then install it. Normally, wherever LiveMath is used, you are free to change many aspects of the mathematics displayed, for example values of constants or the functions used. Any information contained between red lines and referred to by the icon can be changed by the user. JavaScript All modern browsers understand JavaScript automatically. JavaSketchPad JavaSketchpad is the World-Wide-Web component of The Geometer's Sketchpad. Copyright ©1990-1998 by Key Curriculum Press, Inc. All recent browsers will run JavaSketchpad automatically, but you will have to wait for a short time on the first occasion that you use it for all the files to download.
