The lengths of the sides and the sizes of the angles of a right-angled triangle are connected mathematically by what we call trigonometrical relationships.

There are three main relationships.
The sine function sine sin
The cosine function cosine cosine
The tangent function tangent tan
These relationships are often quoted briefly as: sin q=o/h, cos q=a/h, tan q=o/a
