A4. Real numbers : reciprocals.
The reciprocal of any number n is 1/n.
For example:
The reciprocal of 8 is 1/8
Any non-zero number multiplied by its reciprocal is 1
multiplicative inverse

For example:
6 x 1/6=1, 13 x 1/13=1
So, the reciprocal of any number is its multiplicative inverse, but zero has no reciprocal, because division by zero is not defined.
Check that you can find the reciprocal of any fraction. Press the button to get started.
