I1. The volume of cones
A cone is a solid figure formed by a closed plane curve on a plane (the base, usually a circle) and all the lines joining points on the base to a fixed point (the vertex) not in the plane of the base.

For a cone of base radius r and height (or latitude h), the volume is given by the formula:

cone
An example
A cone has a base radius of 4cm and a height of 5cm, find its volume.

Find the volume, correct to the nearest whole number, of each cone. Click on "Cone" to get started.
