F3. Gradient and intercept : intercept
The straight line, y=mx+c is plotted on a graph. A and B are
two points anywhere on the line. The y-intercept of the line is the
point where the line crosses the y-axis (the point of intersection of the line
and y axis). Use your mouse to move A or B. The y coordinate of this point of
intersection has the value c.
When the equation y=mx+c is plotted on a
graph, a straight line is produced. This line has gradient m and y-intercept c.
