B1. Indices : Index notation.

5 × 5=52, or "5 squared". The 2 in 52 is called the index or power.
Similarly 8=2 × 2 × 2=23,or "2 cubed" and 27=3 × 3 × 3=33, 64=4 × 4 × 4=43
When a number is expressed this way, it is said to be written in index notation.

There are higher powers too, such as:
10 × 10 × 10 × 10=104
6 × 6 × 6 × 6 × 6=65

Any number to the power 0 is equal to 1, ie., n0=1

Write using index notation. Press "Write" to get started and then enter the number in the first box and the index in the second box.
