The buzzer

Buzzers can be used to make circuits where a sound is needed - such as a doorbell or an alarm system. However, you also need a power supply such as a battery.

You can make the electricity stored in a battery flow out along wires. The wires need to connect to both the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals of the battery and also to a component such as a bulb or buzzer. If you do this properly, you have made a circuit. If you do not make a circuit, the electricity will not flow.

The buzzer used here has two wires connected inside. To make a circuit, you need to connect one wire to the positive (+) terminal of the battery and one to the negative (-) terminal.
