The Level One Sequences Folder
|
|
Section A
These sheets ask the pupil to generate or form a sequence of five
terms given the first term and a simple addition rule. The second
part of each sheet extends this to being given a specified term,
other than the first, and a rule to generate the rest of the first
five terms, requiring the pupil to work back to make earlier terms.
Words used: one to five and first to fifth terms. Repeated addition
using the numbers one to ten. Sequences as a row of numbers separated
by commas.
Section B
Parts of sequences are given and the missing terms may be found
by counting on or back in ones or tens. Sequences in rows, gaps
as separators.

The Level Two Sequences Folder
|
|
Section A
These sheets ask the pupil to generate or form a sequence of five
terms given the first term and a simple addition rule. The second
part of each sheet extends this to being given a specified term,
other than the first, and a rule to generate the rest of the first
five terms, requiring the pupil to work back to make earlier terms.
Words used: one to five and first to fifth terms. Repeated addition
using the numbers one to ten. Sequences as a row of numbers separated
by commas.
Section B
Parts of sequences are given and the missing terms may be found
by counting on or back in ones, tens or hundreds. Sequences in rows,
gaps as separators.

The Level Three Sequences Folder
|
|
Section A
These sheets ask the pupil to generate or form a sequence of five
terms given the first term and a simple addition or subtraction
rule. The second part of each sheet extends this to being given
a specified term, other than the first, and a rule to generate the
rest of the first five terms, requiring the pupil to work back to
make earlier terms. Repeated addition and subtraction using the
numbers one to ten.
Section B
Parts of sequences are given and the missing terms may be found
by counting on or back. Uses ones, twos, threes, fours, fives, tens,
twenties and hundreds.

The Level Four Sequences Folder
|
|
Section A
Sequences in order in columns with mapping arrows. Find the missing
numbers in the sequences and the rule as a single operator on the
term number. Operand given.
Section B
Sequences in order in columns with mapping arrows. Find the missing
numbers in the sequences. Tenth and fiftieth term needed so rule
needs to be found but not expressed.
Section C
Out of order sequences in columns with mapping arrows. Find the
missing terms and term numbers in the sequences.
Section D
These sheets ask the pupil to generate or form a sequence of five
terms given the first term and an addition or subtraction rule extending
to negative numbers. The second part of each sheet extends this
to being given a specified term, other than the first, and a rule
to generate the rest of the first five terms, requiring the pupil
to work back to make earlier terms. Words used: one to five and
first to fifth term. Repeated addition and subtraction using integers
of increasing size.
Section E
Parts of sequences are given and the missing terms may be found
by counting on or back. Uses a variety of integers. Step must be
found where sequential terms are not given.

The Level Five Sequences Folder
|
|
Section A
These sheets ask the pupil to generate a sequence of five terms
given the first term and a rule using one of the four operands.
Includes negative terms.
Section B
These sheets ask the pupil to generate a sequence of five terms,
given a term other than the first, and a rule using one of the four
operands. Includes negative terms.
Section C
These sheets ask the pupil to generate a sequence of four terms
and extend to the tenth term given the first term and a rule using
one of the four operands. Includes negative terms.
Section D
These sheets ask the pupil to generate a sequence of four terms
and extend to the tenth term given a term other than the first,
and a rule using one of the four operands. Includes negative terms.
Section E
Parts of sequences are given and the missing terms may be found
by finding differences. Uses a variety of integers. Step must be
found where sequential terms are not given. Includes non-linear
sequences.
