Instructions for pupils:
First, the pupil should move the mouse pointer over the picture. Then
there is an information page on coins, which shows the appearance
and values of the 1p, 2p, 5p and 10p coins. It also shows how these
coins can be broken down into smaller ones. When they feel familiar
with this they can move on to the Quiz Bank.
Each quiz consists of 20 multiple choice questions all using coins.
Pupils can have as many guesses as they like at each question, but
only when they get the correct answer will the smiley face appear.
Pupils can at any point choose to move on to the next question,
but if they do so without entering the correct response a "frowny"
face will be added. On completion of each quiz a total sheet appears
with a smiley for each correct answer, and a frowny for each incorrect
answer.
Quiz 1 requires pupils to give the total value of each collection
of coins.
Quiz 2 requires pupils to add and subtract.
Quiz 3 Requires pupils to select the appropriate coins in
providing change.
All answers are between 1p and 10p.
